Substrate

The concrete or other surface beneath a coating or flooring system.

Surface profile

The texture produced during preparation to support coating adhesion.

Epoxy

A resin system commonly used in commercial and industrial flooring.

Urethane cement

A cementitious polyurethane system often used in wet, thermal-shock or food environments.

MMA

Methyl methacrylate, a fast-curing resin family used in specialized flooring.

Moisture vapour emission

Moisture moving through a concrete slab that can affect flooring.

Cove base

A curved floor-to-wall transition used for cleaning and containment.

Broadcast aggregate

Sand or other aggregate distributed into a resin layer for thickness or texture.

Pot life

The usable time after coating components are mixed.

Recoat window

The time period in which another coat can be applied without additional preparation.
